Professionally, how can I ever go back to live in my sugar cane field surroundingswhen all there is in any relation to my field of study are mediocre 9 to 5's with not much opportunity for real advancement in the area? I don't mean to be pessimistic or condescending even but I know I won't be living there after college. That wouldn't be a problem if my heart wasn't there. I love the country. My family and some of my closest friends are there, but I have BIG plans that the area just doesn't cater to. I don't even know if New Orleans has what I need for real, and that's my closest city to home.
On the bright side, there's always vacation time and holidays. Besides, you appreciate things more when you have an opportunity to miss them right?
