So imagine my disappointment when I saw this bag in our summer preview video at work, only to later find out that they won't even allow me to purchase it because it's on the "excluded" list for employees! Yes. They are withholding this PINK PATENT LEATHER BEAUTY from me.
No ladies. I cannot purchase it. :-(

the sun came out today....

I was in the supermarket on the greeting card aisle when a man standing across from me, whom I had exchanged friendly hello's with just a few minutes before, walked up to me and asked me if he could share something with me. ............?
Puzzled as to exactly "what" he wanted to share with me, I replied with a somewhat uncertain
"ok....?"
"You judge a tree by its fruits," he said. "You know what I mean? For example, if someone does crazy things, they're probably crazy, you know? That's all. I just thought I should share that with you."
I nodded and smiled as to say, "I understand what you're saying" and he replied, "Ok," and returned to the other side of the aisle.

:-).............(scratch head)........umm............hmmmm?

I don't know.. my girl said if that's indeed true then HE'S crazy. lol.

I just wanna go to bed. yes, bed... at 6pm. but I have to work tonight.....summer floor set. so I won't be snoring any time soon:-(((((((
I was thinking of dog names today. I decided on_"Kyddles."
meanwhile Kristi came through with a parade of shoes that she purchased for her graduation party weekend. she wanted my opinion on them. Naturally I loved them all and was of little assistance I'm sure:-)

don't be sad momma..

Professionally, how can I ever go back to live in my sugar cane field surroundings
when all there is in any relation to my field of study are mediocre 9 to 5's with not much opportunity for real advancement in the area? I don't mean to be pessimistic or condescending even but I know I won't be living there after college. That wouldn't be a problem if my heart wasn't there. I love the country. My family and some of my closest friends are there, but I have BIG plans that the area just doesn't cater to. I don't even know if New Orleans has what I need for real, and that's my closest city to home. 

On the bright side, there's always vacation time and holidays. Besides, you appreciate things more when you have an opportunity to miss them right?

I was reading a Lauren London interview today (she's one of my fav "up and comings") and she said something that stuck out in my mind. _When she's going through things or having the worst day ever she said she thinks back to some of the really heavy things that she went through when she was just a kid that you wouldn't believe, and she feels like if back then at that young age she could handle that stuff, she knows she can handle the things that she goes through as an adult.
That helped me put things into perspective myself.  If I got through what I got through at 14, what can't I get through at 24?
